Somehow during our crazy whirlwind trip, *by Genevieve and I managed to sneak an afternoon out in Brooklyn with 2 of our favorite NYC buddies, Mitch & Meg. It all began with a meal, of course. Vinegar Hill House was kind of amazing. Lovely home-y atmosphere and amazing brunch fair… fried oysters, shrimp & grits, and some amazing hash brown/cheese/gravy bowl-of-heaven.
We then ventured around Williamsburg to check out a few shops, Catbird in particular. I love this quaint jewelry shop… they have the best delicate gold little gems… earrings, necklaces and rings. Vieve was in heaven adding to her quickly expanding (after a week in NYC) gold ring collection
Super fun place to spend some time at.
After a bit of wandering down Williamsburg’s finest shops we ventured over to a beer garden to sit outside and enjoy the lovely weather… perfect summer transitioning into fall day. It was delightful… and nice to be out of a city for a few moments.
It was a great afternoon getting to catch up with old friends and the drive back to the city had the most amazing (& a bit blurry!) sky… all in all, a perfect day!
