Donna Karan, a fashion legend who has adorned women with her iconic designs for decades, is what we consider the ultimate “cream of the crop” around these fields. We have always admired her foundation, Urban Zen, and the way it strives to empower women, children, and cultures around the world.
And get this: we will soon have the Urban Zen clothing & home collections at CARROTS! We have long loved the line and know it will be a fabulous success. On the horizon for fall… an intimate trunk show with the lovely lady herself… stay tuned!

We just wanted to say a many many thanks to all of the folks that were kind enough to feature the launch of our a’bout “store in store” on their websites and blogs. The following is from Haute Living. Click here to see the full article and more incredible photos. Thank you all, we are so grateful!
“Dean Hutchinson has been a premier local designer since the early 2000s and had his own minimalistic, architectually beautiful line called Mii that was housed in a shop on the outskirts of Union Square. It would only make sense that he and Carrots, a well curated boutique in Jackson Square, would collaborate to launch an exclusive line called A’bout.
Carrots is one of the best boutiques in San Francisco that carries edgy but beautifully-made designers like Rick Owens, Maison Martin Margiela, Acne, Alexander Wang and VPL to name a few. A’bout is a line designed by Dean Hutchinson and Yunchieh Chang, a local Academy of Art graduate. A’bout is available exclusively for Carrots and it is the eptimote of a stylistic vision. It is clothing with sculptural lines, luxurious fabrics with perfect tailoring that can with stand the test of time. The beauty is in the draping and details of each item. Sumptuous leathers, mixed with silk jersey and finely milled fabrics make for a seasonless collection.” -via hauteliving.com

Gold: (noun), a thing that is precious, beautiful, or brilliant.
Introducing Mannin jewelry designer Suzanne Donegan’s new line of classic gold pieces handcrafted in Los Angeles. Her idea for this collection came from a desire to create timeless and classic jewelry that can be worn everyday. This concept comes to fruition with Mannin’s seven basic pieces every woman should own: signet rings, cuffs, chain necklaces and hoop earrings all give a strong sense of regality with a wearable and modern edge.
Donegan will be unveiling her latest creations at CARROTS on December 2nd from Noon ’til 8. That very same evening happens to be the Jackson Square Annual Holiday Walk and we would love it you came by for a festive libation. Be sure to mark you calendars!

Our lovely neighbors over at Quince opened their more casual corner cafe today, Cotogna (quince in italian) and we couldn’t be happier across the street here at CARROTS!
We stopped by last night for their opening and had the pleasure to taste some of the delicious food Michael was preparing… pizzas from their wood burning oven (to die for!), lamb from their insanely cool rotisserie, meatballs, risotto fritters, fabulous wines (the Vermentino was divine) and some wonderful whiskey cocktail. Everything was incredibly delicious, we will certainly be regulars.
Opening tonight for dinner and Nov. 15th for lunch… trust us, you will love it.

we snagged a quick pic of Michael Tusk (chef/owner) busy at work… sorry for the blurry shot, we didn’t want to distract him while he was hard at work!
