Let’s go 49ers! Here are a few things the CARROTS team are doing to celebrate the day!
CHILI – of course! What kind of Super Bowl party would it be without some good old homemade chili. Here’s a recipe from Food52 that I thought looks good:
Mommy Missy is super into knitting apparently these days (a lot of big changes since i’ve been gone!) and found this SUPERBOWL SWEATER she is gonna knit up for the big day… I’ll keep you posted on how it turns out 😉
Potato Skins are pretty essential too. Jimmy and I had these amazing, super simple, fried potato skins with a salsa on our trip… were going to recreate for the big day. Boil, scoop out the middle, fry in some duck fat or oil, and salsa them up! Yum.
As beer is always good on game day… why limit yourself? Cocktails are quite lovely in the afternoon… how about a margarita? Refreshing & delicious, always.
Let’s not kid ourselves, food is the main priority of this day. We’re thinking some meatballs would be a lovely addition: A little tex-mex action to go with the margs, mmm.
Never hurst top break up all the red meat and alcohol with a little something green… this brussels sprout salad is totally easy and surprisingly tasty.
These pickles look kind of fun, and always an added bonus. Found them on Refinery 29’s blog for Superbowl Party Ideas.
and lastly, I’m sort of loving this sweatshirt from Forever21… Showing some spirit, go 49ers!!!
