I dedicate today’s post to my sister and to the beauty of sisterhood. There is something so special about sisters, a kindred spirit unlike any other relationship. At the end of the day, your sister knows and understands you more than any other person. Almost 30 years of friendship, bonding and memories has left me most grateful for my little sister.
She embodies the type of sister any of us would want. A dedicated business partner, a devoted friend and confidante, a loving aunt and god-mother to my son, a sweet sister-in-law who’s always been welcoming to my husband and my favorite person to indulge in food and drink with (hence why NYC is dangerous for the two of us).
Over the past year she’s gone out of her way to make my transition to motherhood smooth. She’s run our store successfully and without complaint and given me the time to be with my baby. I’ve realized recently how special it is to have a really good support team as a new mom. So for that I thank you sis!
Here’s to the special relationship that is sisterhood.
To have a loving relationship with a sister is not simply to have a buddy or a confident — it is to have a soul mate for life.
