The Weekly Avocado: from NYC Fashion Week

Ladies always seem to inspire me during NYC fashion week. Everywhere you go, the outfits are pretty incredible, and usually rather original. Here are some of my favorites so far:

Cream of the Crop: Emanuelle Alt

The always chic, perfectly-parisienne editor of French Vogue, Emanuelle Alt, sure knows how to rock some jeans.  I love the way she offsets a denim or leather skinny silhouette with a structured jacket and boots or pointy pumps.  Her style (part minimalist, part rocker, part classic) is spot-on and her choice “uniform” is right up our alley!

She just looked so chic in her new Dean Hutchinson top … I think she was channeling a little rock & roll vibe when dressing this morning 🙂

From hints and splashes, to full-on color explosions, the fashion crowd is rocking all kinds of bold hues and creative combos in even the dreariest of weather.  With our rainy season in full swing here in SF, adding a little pop of color to your outfit is the perfect way to brighten things up, at least until the sun comes out!

Just Peachy

Our dearest friend Caitlin came into CARROTS today looking so chic. I loved her peachy sweater and perfectly blushed lips … oh so cute for a rainy Saturday!

An “oldie but a goodie”

Lunching downtown.

Wearing a Stella McCartney dress from Spring 2008 (hence the oldie) accompanied by her new Maison Martin Margiela booties and Alexander Wang Rocco Duffle Bag. Compliments to a perfect mix of the old with the new & Spring with the Fall.
