Crystal Visions

New Ali Grace jewelry has hit Carrots. Ali’s laid back version of glamour is super wearable and lots of fun. Not only does Ali Grace’s jewelry make you smile, but it opens you up to level of hipness that is creative and simple. You can wear a major piece of Ali’s jewelry like a crystal suspended from a tiny string of garnets and not feel like you are advertising. It’s organic and blends in… but don’t be surprised if a passer by falls in love with your necklace or bracelet.

Two more styles of Zero + Maria Cornejo’s Spring 2014 collection just rolled in. We love the easy elegance and artsy edge. It’s fresh and light, but substantial enough to wear now. You don’t have to save it for your “vacay.”

Bougie Nights

A special parcel arrived from Paris today… inside was a fresh array of Cire Trudon candles. This fragrant batch includes some familiar favorites and two new candles.

YAZBUKEY is the latest limited edition wax creation. It’s the product of a collaboration with Cire Trudon and Yaz Bukey, a French-Turkish jewelry designer who is known for her unconventional style and work. The notes include violets, leather, saffron, and according to the designer lipstick and hairspray! Sounds crazy, but take a whiff, it’s good.

BETHLEHEM is a fresh spin on Cire Trudon’s Melchoir holiday themed candle. This luxurious scent blends warm notes of amber and sandalwood with musk, tonka beans and white flowers in a festive silver jar meant to evoke the silvery stars in the sky. The holidays will be here before you know it. Try getting into the spirit of things with the right aroma.

☝ Shakespeare might have said “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet,” but a Cire Trudon candle is the bees knees and you can count on that name.

Hip and Playful – Zero + Maria Cornejo Resort 2014

You might not have time to take head out on your dream getaway, but you can start dressing the part with Zero + Maria Cornejo’s Resort 2014 collection.  Maria Cornejo imagined herself in Morocco and the result is an assortment of universally flattering dresses and tunics based on geometric shapes. A designer who understands a woman’s need for options – she offers subdued navy and black and also fun loving prints and shocking pink.

❦ Here is a fun fact: the digital prints that Zero fans love are created from pictures taken either Cornejo or her husband Mark Borthwick on their iphones. They snap away and when something catches their eye they reproduce the detail so that it becomes a pattern.
